The Heart of Classical Africa Jacques Germain - Galerie Gradiva
A former exhibitor and a loyal visitor to Parcours des Mondes, Jacques Germain has never missed an edition since its beginnings in 2004 — not even during the pandemic.
Moved by the attachment of the public and his colleagues, he wished to conceive this exhibition as a tribute to the event that has so deeply marked his career.
“I had long wanted to step outside the framework of the fair to offer something more intimate, more free — a gesture of recognition,” he confides.
For him, this exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with Paris, his city of the heart, and with the public of Parcours: “This fair has been for me a catalyst of encounters, of knowledge, of lasting bonds. I could not have dreamed of a better setting than Galerie Gradiva for my return, and to raise this essential question: what, in the end, makes an object beautiful?”
This exhibition stands as a testament to the constancy of a vision, forged in rigor, field experience, and close ties with collectors.
Choosing not to build a personal collection in order to remain faithful to his clients, Jacques Germain nurtured, over thirty years, a corpus of rare richness, from which this exhibition now draws with generosity.
To be discovered at 9 quai Voltaire, within Galerie Gradiva.
