Empty Volumes – Dadamaino & Tribal Art Dalton Somare
For the 24th Parcours des Mondes, Dalton Somare Gallery will highlight an exhibition "Empty Volumes – Dadamaino & Tribal Art".
Dalton Somaré Gallery has been a historical presence at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés September of Art, contributing since the very first edition, the pioneering Portes Ouvertes launched by the art magazine KAOS.
Known for the refinement of its choices and its interest in the relationship between 20th-century Art and Art Premier, Dalton Somaré presents, for the 24th edition of Parcours des Mondes, an exhibition where Spazialist works by the Italian artist Dadamaino engage in dialogue with a curated selection of Art Premier.
Dadamaino, the only female figure in the Milanese avant-garde movement of the 1950s and 60s, was an early supporter of Lucio Fontana’s Spazialist Manifesto.
Her artistic research focused on exploring space, light, and void—beyond material forms and colors.
The conversation between these conceptual elements and the Art Premier sculptures on display reveals an underlying dialogue between opposites.
