The Harmakhis Gallery was founded by Jacques Billen, specialized in Ancient Egypt.
Biography
Born in Bruxelles in 1960, Jacques Billen opened his gallery - Harmakhis - in 1988 in the Sablon discrit, the traditional district for antiques dealers.
Graduated in History of Art and Archaeology and Philology and Oriental Hystory of the Université Catholique de Louvain, Jacques Billen is an antiques dealer and expert in Ancient Egypt.
He is a member of the Chambre Belge des Experts en Œuvres d’Art of the Belgian Royal Chamber of Art Dealers (ROCAD), and of the International Association of Dealers in Ancient Art (IADAA).
